I sent 4 paystubs just like that. Thought of sending W-2 also but they are redundant Information - already gone with 140 app.
They wont deny your case for not sending W2 , in worst case they will ask
for it and you will just mail it immediatly ( keep them handy)

While filing for my wife's G-325A form, her last name was filled in first name and first name as last name. We got our FP notice yesterday and thats when I went back and reviewed all the forms I filed. I was wondering if any of you know what can be done so that an honest mistake can be corrected?

Yesterday we recieved 3 NOAs (for 130, 485, and 131) from USCIS, and unfortunately, most important (I-485) NOA misspelled my last name (while two other NOAs not). Nothing was misspelled on my application - I checked my copy.
On the NOA, USCIS wrote in bold: Please notify us immediately if any of the above is incorrect. Well, my last name is incorrect (twice). Unfortunately, USCIS didn't say how exactly I should notify them immediately.
So, what is the best way to correct this? Infopass? Or any good phone/fax numbers or email? We are in San Francisco.

Answer Yes, you can do it through INFOPASS or you can wait until your fingerprinting appointment which will happen shortly and do it at that time
An attorney has suggested them to take an infopass appt and I suggest you do the same

DHS will be rescinding its July 2 update and the initial July Visa Bulletin will take effect for 31 days � i.e., all employment-based green card categories (except for the �Other Workers� category) will be �current� and CIS will accept applications through August 17.
DHS will issue a press release to this effect later today.

We had 4-5 continueous LUD's after couple of weeks they recieved response (June 2009) but still status is showing response reeived.
Recently even changed job to local government but not yet submitted AC 21, I am in the process of preparing documentation. I appreciate if any one help me on this.

USCIS can pre-adjudicate a case, even when visa numbers are not available. This means that USCIS processes all the application, but just waits for a visa number to finalize it.
Pre-adjudication. That would be really good. According to latest processing times, NSC shows July 30th 2007 for 485. So does that mean that cases before that are either adjudicated/pre-adjudicated or atleast there is an RFE?
Is there any one who confirmed that their case is pre-adjudicated @ NSC. ?

I just wanted to be clear about this. So if I maintain my F1 status somehow by enrolling at kaplan/community college and then find a research job which is willing to sponsor for H1B, I can apply any time of the year for this class through non-profit organization/institute of higher education?
do you have any govt. links where I could find more info on this? Any input of yours will be greatly appreciated!!!!
A non-profit organization, such as a University, can hire you any time on H1-B. The job does not have to be a research job.

You guys probably verified this already but -
if you read (the intended) Sec 218D (amendment to the INA) and Sec 602 of S.2454, they do not exclude legal aliens.
All that is required under 218D is that a person must have been in the US on or before Jan 7, 2004 and have proof of employment.
Why shouldn't a legal nonimmigrant visa holder apply for AOS under 218D?
What am I missing here?
you are missing the whole point: you should've been undocumented on or before Jan 7th 2004

Received REF this week: for LCA vioation for a particular period.
I ve approved labor, 140 and EAD, still working on valid H1 with the same employer since 2003.
My employer missed filling LCA FOR 2006.
Please let me know if anyone else in the same boat, ANY COMMENT AND ADVICE WILL BE HELPFUL....

I think the guy who called afterwards nailed it right..
I don't know why folks don't emphasis injustice built-in per country quota..
If discrimination is prohibited anywhere else based on persons's national origin why is it allowed to continue in Green Card queue??
We should hammer this point everywhere..
I have spoken abt it and no one can really say any good counter-point..
IF the pain was shared across all the nations, you bet there would be more support across the board..
Also per-country quotas are really relic of pre-1965 European only immigration policy..
Before anything else I would like simple just queue formed.. This is new "Asian Exclusion Law" and that should be #1 target!
