I have a new eos 350 and am slowly starting to learn to use it. One problem I seem to be having is that on some of my flower shots I am finding that the reds and yellows seem to get blown. I am sure the exposure is right because I bracket like crazy. And I am shooting in raw and then use the slidebar and curve in the photoshop CS raw converter to tone down the image untill the clipping is all gone. But there is still no detail in the area in question - which was the area that showed up as blown out or clipped in the raw image.
The area I am talking about is the petal on the far side of the flower near the center of the image.
I would have assumed that because it shows up as clipped in the initial RAW image then there is no recoverable detail. However if I desaturate the image almost completely or add reds I do get some detail in the blown area.
I am using a photoshop colourspace in the camera. Saturation and exposure are set to normal.
Is this a problem with me or with the camera?

Thanks for the responses. I think I will call USCIS and inquire and just to be on the safe side will send in a G325A separately with a letter. Ofcourse, will try getting a response from my attorney's office too. Thanks again.

Any idea what constitutes a "simple, str forward" case? At 485 stage, what are the things that could potentially make it a more complicated case?
Although that the rule..I dont think USCIS actively follows it. The reason for that being the ombudsman report that states that the adjudicating officers pick low hanging fruit first (simple strforward cases) and that is reflected on where people have been getting their 485 approved within 90 days (which the ombudsman's report states is uscis's goal). right now the processing date is holding at 9 months. maybe to dissuade people from continously calling the NSC 1800 number.

My AP was approved for multiple trips. So I can use the 2 stamped AP as many times as I want. The officer told me that when I use the APs for my next trip then they are going stamp the same APs again. And that I will not need to submit anything on my next trip. It would be advisable to keep some photocopies of the AP just in case they ask for a copy.
How do you know AP is approved for multiple entries?
I thought AP in general is for multiple entries.

jobs, which require unskilled labor (walmart jobs, starbucks jobs, farm jobs, janitorial work - all are examples) should be paid a living wage. Which means, if a person works for 40 hours a week, he/she should be able to live with the salary.
I can throw in some numbers for Washington, DC area. For a family of 4.
Living wage: Accommodation ($800 apartment) + Food ($500 a month) + Vehicle, since most of America is not well served by public transportation ($400) + Entertainment, Communication, Clothes, Medicine etc ($500). Total = $2200 a month. Divide this by 160 hours a month and you will get $13.75.
So this is the minimum wage all jobs in Washington, DC area should be paying. Companies often get away with paying way below this amount. Then the society ends up paying the difference.
Congrads brother. You have posted one of the "most ridiculous and hillarious" posts ever!! Comparing Starbucks to picking strawberries??? Wow! why not compare strawberry picking to hollywood acting? Why is hollywood not employing ilegal aliens even when reportedly they need millions to produce a single movie? Tough questions eh?? or does it seem ilogical and crazy reasoning??
If you "pay enough" to the laborer, then who will pay for the produce at the walmart?? and how much is "pay enough" as per the current expectations?

At the time of adjudiciation, can we show permanent offer letter from any employer? For e.g. If 1 filed GC through Employer A. After receiving EAD, 1 switched to employer B. At the time of adjudiciation, can we use permanent offer letter from Employer C for Green Card.

This is correct as per my understanding. As soon as your GC is approved you will need AP to re-enter US. IO at POE will have the information about your approved GC. I do not think he will allow you to enter on H4 after the GC Approval.
This is just my understanding. Check with a attorney to get precise information.
No need for AP. If someone mails him the GC, he can get back to the U.S. with it.

Just now my lawyer called to tell that she got all my receipts , filed on july 2nd but my wifes application was rejected for "insufficient filing fees", I had put in a single check for $745 , how can this be, it was both in the same fedex packet, she says it is some "mailroom error", so she sent back the application with a letter and my receipt copy to accept. look at your labor app... it states your proffered wage, job description etc. those are the terms and conditions... you can still get an EVL from your employer and have your lawyer (or have yourself) write a letter explaining how the EVL covers terms and conditions on the labor cert. in any case, this is a really stupid and unenforceable rfe... i mean how can the new employer even know whats in the labor and i-140? and without knowing that how can an employer "indicate" any compliance with t&c of labor and 140? i think you should be fine with just a plain evl that matches your job description and salary... at most, you can write a letter saying that "yeah the t&c continues to be valid".

My sister got her H-1B in 2008 but didn't work for her employer due to health problems. After about 3 to 4 months she left for India and recovered. Over there she joined a multi-national who sent her on B1 this year. (She already had traveled on B1 from a very old employer and used that).
Now after coming here on B1, she has a job offer from an Indian MNC. My understanding is that the MNC will have to file two petitions:
1. A Change of Status from B1 to H1B
2. A I-129 requesting H-1B (or H-1B transfer)
Question -
a) Can she start working for the Indian MNC after filing both of these two, or will we have to wait for both approvals?
She must wait for H1-B approval (I-797) form. In addition, if the I-797 does not have an attached I-94, then she must go out of the country, get H1-B stamped (if she does not have one) and reenter on H1-B VISA before she can start working.
b) Do we require paystubs from the original H-1B employer from 2008 for H-1B transfer? My understanding is that paystubs are usually required to establish one is currently in status, but she is on B1 right now and not H1B.
