I was listening to Rajiv's recent/previous conference call recordins(mp3 foramat can be found on main page) in which he said some of his clients were in similar situations and did not have any issues.

Please listen to one of those(recent 2 recordings) you will get some answer. Also consult with your lawyer if you filed through an attorney. Keep all the papers ready just in case you need to refile...

my I-140 is pending for than 600 days as well in addition to my pending I-485.
while using EAD with my current GC applying employer(lets say not
getting paid as in this economy its hard to find corp to corp jobs), can I
work another job full time using EAD?
It would be risky to move to another company before your I-140 is approved.
If you start using your EAD, you no longer will be in H status. You would be in AOS pending status.

There should be a box for A number, is it blank?
I remember seeing this discussion more than a year ago. Some have A#, some don't.
My 485 notice has an A number next to "beneficiary" box with my name, 140 has name mentioned in the "applicant" box but no number.
They won't adjudicate 485 without fingerprints, but you have them done already, doubt this will be an issue.

there is a small shops complex there called chappan dukaan... very famous hangout place for all indorians... just remembered :)
Chappan Dukaan is too good...even non indorians have heard about it...
I just had a morning dream that EB3 will be current in coming months.
May all EBs get current and all desis can switch jobs/companies/professions....

I hope it doesn't affect Employee (original labor) who have left GC employer using AC-21 with approved I-140 and after 180 days.
This interpretation is game changer for life of many EB immigrants. It should be implemented for going forward but at least should not affect those who used it by the interpretation of that time.

Chandu just mentioned that some means of contacting him is made. But he is very pivotal for this . As hez Obama campaign chairman , Senate No. 2 Ranking Democrat. His support or non-support is very crucial to support or not supporting any legislation now and if Obama comes in to picture obviously he will have better hold. I am not a lawyer, just an immigrant who waded thru these, stil pending GC 485 filed. The issue is, if your employer revokes your 140 before it is approved, or worse yet, if it is not filed, I dont know what visa u r on or how much is left on it. In any case, from my experience, you have to be able to know and track ur application once it is filed, as in my experience there is an unholy nexus betwween employers and lawyers, not to mention the inherent delaying nature of these immigration lawyers. Points
1. Be able to track ur application on USCIS website with the receipt number
2. Do sweettalking with the employer till the 140 is filed and approved, then it is safest to stay for 6 months with your employer, then he can do diddly squat to you if u r able to file 485 and get an EAD. I take it that you are not affected by retrogression.

I got the Card Production Ordered e-mail today. No LUD even last night at 1 Am. Only one LUD today. My case is processed at Texas service center. And my receipt date is not with in their processing times.

Submitted all documents 10th dec 2009 as mentioned below:-
1) Petitioner's Federal Income Tax returns
2) Petitioner's state unemployment wage reports for last 4 quarters.
3) Letter from end client in US on letterhead indicating your services are expected.
4) List of petitioner's employees at your job site including names, titles, salaries, and immigration status.
5) Copy of contract between petitioner and contracting company with detailed job itinerary.
Till date I together with my employer have written 6 emails but there is no response.
I personally visited mumbai Consulate information center but they did't ave me any answer.
Can anyone please tell me how long this whole process will take?
Is there any chance that such case goes into endless loop?
My house and all belongings are in U.S. and I am clueless as what to do
I was on the same boat in Nov at mumbai consulate, I was given 221g yellow slip, and was told your case is in pending status for administrative reasons they did not ask me for anything and said that the administrative processing can take any thing between 2 days to 2 months and the officer told me that you will be contacted by e-mail ones the processing is complete. I was contacted 3 weeks after I was interviewed. For me it took total of 4 weeks to get my H1B Visa stamped on my passport.

Nope...she is out of status if you lose your H-1b. At any point of time, inside the US, she has to have a valid status. It can be H-4, H-4 extension pending or AOS. If she is not in any of the three, then she is accrueing unlawful presence.

Copy of W2 and recent two pay-stubs is sufficient to file AOS.:)

My I-140 pending over a year finally got approved. got an RFE a2p and replied on 4th of oct. approval date 22 oct.
