I am a July 2nd Filer, and have not gone through FP till now.
I e filed on 11th May for EAD /AP renewal for myself and spouse.
LUD on 14 th May. Receipt notices received 16 th may.
Got FP notice only for myself on 19 th May.
(Still waiting for spouse's FP notice)

it is not to prevent 'de-magnetization' but to prevent rfid communication. All new passport and other govt id 'cards' ship with rfid chip in them which contains encrypted biometrics info. Since rfid info can be read even 10 meters away with right equipment, it is better to put it in a metallic sleeve (creating a Faraday cage) to prevent anyone from sniffing then biometrics info.

Got receipt notice for I-485/AP/EAD/ from USCIS today (8/30/2007). My package was delivered to Nebraska center on July/27/2007. Notice date is August 21st, 2007. My priority date is Dec/23rd/2003.

It is great to see human nature at work. Once united and making phone calls for the 3 lofgren Bills...the same folks are mulling it out over EB2, EB3 and how most of the folks dont even deserve to be either....Interesting fodder for Anti Immi folks.....
W/o demand there is no supply or acceptance of Foriegn nationals in an alien land. Obviously there are some that abuse teh system...
But that is not the intention of IV to solve for rooting the abusers out. Its the USCIS's job to do that. Like they abolished the Subs labor process.....they may as well make EB1, 2 and 3 more restrictive they actually did make EB2 more restrictive when PERM was launched...
So lets all concentrate on what our role in this whole mess is..that is to support IV wholeheartedly...Please focus on the big picture and enjoy life!!!!!!!!!

What drives the decision for a bill to be considered in Congress/Senate? WHY can't we pitch SKIL or TALENT Bills as a means to separate legal immigration from the ongoing CIR debate?
If politicians are introducing these bills, they should be willing to back them up separtely instead of saying that these come into picture only if CIR fails. Or is the introduction of other bills a sign of CIR's imminent failure? Since the top IV team has the visibility with politicians, this hypocrisy should be resolvable. Please tell us why these bills cannot be taken up while CIR is pending? Isn't that what the lobbying company is supposed to help us with?
No one is prepared to jeopardize their political careers over 12 million illegal immigrants. Thought I have said in my earlier posts that we cannot alienate ourselves from the illegal issue I think we need to take the next step and start to contact the senators who have introduced and backed the SKIL, PACE and TALENT act to see if this can be pushed through senate and congress as seperate bills.

Dates move ahead means almost all people before 8 Jan 2005 will get their GC in Sep 2009.
If that comes not true then DOS has given Spill over visas to Eb2 india on day 1 of new quarter and will do same for every quarter. If this is the case then date will move forward only in Jan 2010 bulletin.
and if they moved date forward because there are only few hundreds case between Jan 8 and Jan 22 2005 then we will see very big movement in Aug - Sep 2009. There are very few Labor since Nov 2008. So Eb2 ROW will not utilize even 10k visas in next year thus Eb2 row will donate 20k + visas to Eb2 india and Eb1 do same ... if Eb4 and Eb5 doesnot get renewal before Sep 30th then expect 5k more visas total almost 55k Spill over to Eb2 india and China which will make Eb2 C by Sep 2010..

Tell me what wrong he did for him to apologize and I will apologize to you. When nothing is permanent he worked with them for 1 and half years, he got them 4 employees. Why in the world should he apologize?.
When you say that you will not need your clients you are wrong. when I was searching for projects I got a chance to apply to a job opening in one of my previous client, guess what, the start to my second stint was smooth just because I had a good rapport with my client and they liked my work. I even got one of my team mates in my client place to give me a referral for my higher studies.
"Your ex boss is not a bad guy, he knows you are leaving for better opportunity".He is not only a bad guy, he is evil IF (note the big IF) he is keeping the money which is not his. Their conscience should prick when they feed and give excellent education to their kids with the ill gotten money.
Unfortunately one might need his ex-employer in future (might not always be the case) and that is the irony of it all.
What wrong he did? Nothing illegal but certainly not the best practise. Atleast he has been insensitive to his former employer.
